Our Story

Welcome to our Paradise at the Palms! My husband and I were high school sweethearts and have been married for 33 years now. We currently live in Iowa but have lived in many places throughout our marriage. We are an Air Force family! My husband retired from the Air Force in 2008 and now works as a DOD contractor.  Our daughter's husband is in the Air Force stationed here in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and our son is in the Air Force as well and stationed with his wife in Clovis, New Mexico. I work for a large insurance corporation and have taken on the task to managing our beautiful 2nd home at the Palms of Destin. We love having such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay when we come to visit and we wanted to share it with others to enjoy and we hope you love it as much as we do!! We love to travel (seems like that is mostly to see our kids and grandkids these days) but we also love to camp and go boating here in Iowa. We also restore old cars and have one each - mine is better but he will tell you that his is! I make barn wood signs in what little spare time I have as a hobby - which you will see a couple in the condo that I made specifically for the beach! We are very active and love to have fun and try to enjoy every day to the fullest!
